“Blue Tantrum is an irresistible blend of raw exuberance and surprisingly mature talent. Their music both swings and rocks with an energy that lures people onto the dance floor. Behold the coming-of-age of the next generation of blues!†~Swing Columbus.
That being said, stunned and thrilled could be two words used to describe the audience when first seeing Blue Tantrum perform. This young trio has been performing constantly since 2003. First starting off in small local bars, then what seems like countless shows later, they have performed at several national venues and festivals throughout the Midwest. Nate Boff, a budding guitar virtuoso fronts this power trio. He and drummer, Curt Sigg have been playing music together since high school, developing the ability to read off each other on stage, that being a key part of the band’s improvisational style. After going through a couple of bass players, they found Greg Barth to be a perfect fit.
Blue Tantrum has had the honor of sharing stages and concert bills with an ever-growing laundry list of legends including: The Arc Angels, Indigenous, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Sardinas, Chris Duarte, Eric Johnson, Lonnie Brooks, Joe Bonamassa, Mem Shannon, and at this year's OK Blues Fest, the one and only B.B. King.
Their new, self-titled album is currently being aired internationally on blues radio programs in the U.S., England, France, Canada, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Japan, and Argentina.
Here is what some others had to say:
“Who the F*..! is this kid?!†~Lonnie Brooks.
“A pleasant surprise with much potential for the future!†~Oklahoma Blues Festival.
“You guys are on your way.†~Mem Shannon.
