Paul Boehmke, reeds
Paul is a dynamic and exciting soloist. His versatile style effectively bridges the jazz, r&b and blues idioms. Paul is a multi instrumentalist, playing clarinet, alto, tenor, soprano saxophone & flute. He is in demand as both a recording and performance artist.

Mark Wright, piano

After studying classical piano for 10 years Mark who was born into a musical family, began performing at age 13. In 1972 while in New Orleans he was inspired hearing some of the jazz pioneers remaining in the city. He currently performs regularly in the New York City area and has lectured/performed “New Orleans Style” jazz in 30 states and in Europe. He lives in an 1852 schoolhouse in Demarest, New Jersey cluttered with four pianos, thousands of sheets of music, and musical memorabilia.

Johnny Russell, drums, harmonica

Johnny is known for a gutsy percussive style geared to “swing the band”. On harmonica he can deliver soulful interpretations of hymns & spirituals or tear the roof off with a boogie or blues. Since his first “jazz gig” at the 1978 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Johnny has maintained a strong commitment to early jazz. His performance and recording credits include work with Arvell Shaw, Doc Cheatham, Red Richards and Sammy Rimmington.
