ASHLEIGH FLYNN - Debuts Third Album With Sneakin' Out '"
"LIVE AT MISSISSIPPI STUDIOS"

Ashleigh Flynn and Home Perm records are proud to announce the debut of Flynn's third album "Ashleigh Flynn -- Live at Mississippi Studios." The album, recorded live at Portland's Mississippi Studios in Portland Oregon, features Flynn with the immensely talented local bluegrass sensation Sneakin' Out. Guest appearances by local cellist Skip Von Kuske and national folk hero Tracy Grammer grace Flynn's songs with a rich string voicing and vocal harmonies, adding to an already luminous musical effort.

The album features Flynn's smoky voice and insightful songwriting, accompanied by the lively, high-energy acoustic intelligence of Sneakin' Out: David Gerow (mandolin) , Don Henson (percussion) and Mike "Cheddar" Schmitt (acoustic bass). Tom Spanbauer, reading the passage from his book The Man Who Fell in Love with the Moon, which inspired Flynn's tune, "Devil's Pass," introduces this song as a special bonus track on the record.

Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, the album highlights favorite tracks from her first two albums as well as new songs including "Rainy Days," "Wishing Well" and "Maybe, Maybe Not." For the first time, Flynn presents two covers, a lively "Rocky Top" and a soulful version of "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," recalling her magnetic voice and an unapologetic connection to her roots in traditional Americana music.

What the press says about Ashleigh Flynn live w/ Sneakin’ Out at Mississippi Studios:

“Sneakin’ Out provides backing for Flynn’s “live-in-the studio” album, which features her introspective balladry and some accomplished bluegrass. Flynn comes by her creative pedigree honestly. Her bottom lines for this album were to: ‘have fun, do songs you love, and work with Sneakin Out’. Judging by finished album, it appears that these edicts were all she needed to get by.” -'" The Oregonian

“Edgy female songwriter '" FLYNN’S ROOTS RUN DEEP! A fortuitous musical marriage -Ashleigh Flynn and Sneakin’ Out’s mutual musical invention shines...and Tracy Grammer provides violin and impeccable, empathic backing vocals.” -- Willamette Week

“Goldilocks and the Three Bears - PDX songwriter Ashleigh Flynn has met her match with Sneakin' Out, bluegrass band known for its clever percussive stylings. Flynn’s soulful strumming and smoky singing was a natural compliment to Sneakin’ Out’s capacity to throw a hootenanny.” -- Just Out
