At thirteen years old, the Tilden, Nebraska beauty knew that country music was in her future. The first time she took the stage, Angie Broberg realized that singing and performing was her passion and calling. Upon entering her freshman year of high school, Angie began looking for venues to perform outside of church and school where she often sang. She broadened her horizons with performances at local fairs, festivals and benefits throughout the Midwest, headlining shows as well as opening for acts such as Mark Wills and Sara Evans.
In addition to her touring, Angie released her debut album, “Something Else†in April of 2002. The album was recorded in Nashville and is made up of ten songs written by many of today’s top country songwriters. For “Something Elseâ€, Angie chose songs that she believes hold important messages such as following your dreams and reminding us of the examples we set for our children.
Released in 2004, Angie’s follow up album “Unchanged†was a big step in her development as a singer/songwriter. With influences both inside and outside of country, including acoustic rock and R & B, the album reflects new and different music. Angie describes her sophomore album as, “a true picture†of her style.
The release of “Unchanged†was followed by a radio and concert tour throughout the United States featuring Angie and her band. In addition to touring in 2004, Angie was a finalist at the prestigious Belmont University Country Music Showcase.
Selected as one of the top six unsigned country artists by the Country Radio Broadcasters, Angie, now living in Nashville, is continuing to pursue her career as a country music artist. A recent graduate with honors from Belmont University’s Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, she is now focusing on writing and recording new material as well as performing in and around Nashville.
Angie has been described by various people in the music industry as a professional who has an excellent mix of talent and charm. She has a refreshing burst of energy that allows her to interact well with her audiences during live performances. When asked of her ambitions, Angie says, “My goal is to keep doing what I love to do each day of my life, and that’s making good music and performing it for everyone who will listen! I hope to lead by example and be a positive role model for music fans of all ages and genres.â€
