With their latest release on Tres Pescadores Records, Rick Shea and Patty Booker have created a country masterpiece that exhibits a gentle respect for the genre rarely observed in the contemporary country music scene. Rick's assured baritone and Patty's pure country voice form a perfect blend in these thirteen duets, which combine tried and true favorites with Rick and Patty's own compositions. Rick and Patty are both veterans of Southern California's country community and have played together many times over the years. This is their first recorded collaboration. They gathered in Mark Linnett's studio with some of Southern California's most respected sidemen. The brilliant Gary Brandin of Blue Hawaiians fame, who has appeared with Chris Gaffney, Heather Myles and many others, adds his own brand of crystal clear steel guitar. Former Lone Justice, Jayhawks and studio drummer extraordinaire Don Heffington provides the rhythm. Keith Rosier, famous as an author of bass guitar history and instruction books as well as a musician of note, adds his solid backing. Rick plays electric and acoustic guitars and Patty adds bass on one track. Guests are Wyman Reese (piano) and Eddie Baytos (accordion). Lovers of country music in its purest and most traditional form will be sure to love Rick and Patty's latest effort!
