Angie Brady, Oklahoma's brightest new Country artist is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out. One only has to listen to her voice melodically capturing the contents of her soul to know that through music she reaches her heart out to yours. As a young child Ms. Brady was destined to be Oklahoma City's very own Country Queen, winning local beauty contests and talent shows. Angie's fondest memories are of her older brother proudly providing piano accompaniment while she showcased her budding talents singing to school audiences. With him at her side she learned early on that a loving family and community could help make anybody's dreams come true.
The moment the spotlight hit her; she discovered the joy of expression through music and knew that this was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. After attending Bishop McGuiness and working in Oklahoma City she moved to Nashville and drew on the inspiration of all the talented and committed artists she met between 1994 and 1998 in focusing her dream. Through hard work, appreciation of her God given talents and a mix of humility Ms. Brady envisions herself as the type of performing artist who wishes her music to be the gift she gives to others. In sharing her music with her family, most notably her husband and son and the greater Oklahoma City community she has performed at numerous charitable events in support of multiple causes and several political inaugurations.
Ms. Brady's recent recording of her debut album "You Don't Know Me" (releases on September 23rd, 2003) beautifully produced by Grammy award winning Eric Legg (Dixie Chick's Wide Open Spaces) features some of Nashville's greatest country recording studio artists and new songs written by George Teren (co-writer of Tim McGraw and Blake Shelton's current hits). The album highlights the expanse of her vocal talents and music at the cutting edge of country.
Ms. Brady's desire to produce something different unlike anything to ever come out of Nashville has surely been fulfilled. And we should expect much more to follow this successful debut release. Most recently Ms. Brady began touring with Trader Price a long loved popular regional band from Oklahoma (remember "Sad Eyes"?) who has enthusiastically embraced her work and have already booked her out months ahead. During a recent interview with her home town press the "Elk Citian" when asked where she saw herself five years from now she confided, "I couldn't imagine being any happier than I am right now."
