This is the first collection of songs that comprises the self-titled A Dream Awaits. Runtime is over 60 minutes. The songs have a spacey inspiration that resulted from a class where we watched a video about our significance (or lack of it) to the universe. Later, some of the spaciness was removed and an earthier, twilight like feel seemed more appropriate. The songs are mostly synthesizer but also with acoustic and electric guitar.
All of the songs have a floating kind of vibrancy to them. Instructors and therapists at the Atlanta School of Massage have related that they enjoy playing this music during a massage session.
Listening to the beginning 2 minutes of an A Dream Awaits song does not do it justice. The songs build upon themselves usually ending with a beautiful combination of instruments. Be sure to check the website for short mp3s that highlight the middle or ends of many of the songs.
