3pm - Fourthcoming (studio recordings)
6 out of 10

IF it's a dance album you crave, then keep looking. If bleeps, bloops and spatterings of acid are more down your alley, then consider giving 3pm's new release a listen. This 20-year-old hailing from Toledo, Ohio incorporates a wide variety of styles into his production, including anything from reggae to psy-trance, while maintaining a minimal and experimental feel to his work. The eclectic assortment of tempos will set the mood for almost any occasion. Expect to hear lots of Orbital inspired industrial clangs and pops on many of the tracks and sweeping Robert Miles-esque piano melodies on others. By the end of Fourthcoming, an acoustic guitar takes over and suddenly you'll be craving a cup of coffee to go along with the sudden assault of folk. The album certainly has it's ups and downs, sounding somewhat amateurish at times, but the shining tracks are likely to take you on a pleasant emotional journey.

3pm - fourthcoming (Studio Recordings)
fourthcoming tears through the scene with such ferocity and intensity that there's no time for teary-eyed introspection. Displaying a forceful grasp of Electronica dynamics, the CD redefines mix song structure as we know it. A unique cross-pollination of styles, this release is ideal and carries a pristine sense of timing. You can't help but to grab the beats and groove to the tracks. This CD burns with pure, genuine fiery emotion.

Electronic Enigma
"Electronic wizard Casey Clark has gained a national record deal."

Many Swanton residents may feel they have to leave town to find something to do. When you're 11 years old though, you don't have many transportation options. Casey Clark realized there was another way to depart from Swanton -- via computer.

"The Internet brought me to electronic music," said Clark.

Clark, 19, is just releasing his fourth studio album, appropriately titled "Fourthcoming" under his alias 3pm. Clark has received a deal through Midwest Artist Distribution, meaning the CD will be available on July 17 nationally at stores such as Media Play, Best Buy and On Cue.

"Fourthcoming" marks a new direction in style for Clark, whose past discs included the dreamlike trance sounds of "Creation of my Mind," "The 3pm Project" and the conceptual, orchestral elements of "Thematic:Electronica."

"'Fourthcoming' is as close to perfection as ... a perfectionist can get," said Clark. "The new album is more driven with electronic rhythms, and melodies."
