DJ SMASH (BIO)
Born in Bed-Sty Brooklyn, New York. At the age of 5 was when my interest became known in becoming a dj started. As a young boy growing up there were (block parties & at the age of 10 is when I got my first break playing for Derrick Angelettie,The (MAD RAPPER) we were neighbors. As I got older, becoming a dj, got a lil hard trying to get people to notice you then one day while practing I remembered a friend of mine told me to come down to this lounge on Ashland st in Brooklyn this is where I got my very first gig as a professional dj. After that, I went on the road working as an audio engineer alongside other popular and underground dj within various poaes in and outside the tristate areas.â€tob e told and not sold†in the “game†of hip-hop and R&B. Some of the clubs I done my works were at: Studio 243, Brown Sugar, The Lab, Club Speed, and The Octagon. (Which are all located in the Tri-state areas)? The name derived from a song called the “Uptown Anthem†(by Naughty by Nature) in 91-92 while spinning at The Muse in New York City.
I’m currently putting together my own dj compilation of today’s music.
I"m currently spinning @Langston's Lounge every other day in Brooklyn, NY
