A singer/songwriter/obsessive musician from Los Angeles, Hauk has been described as the bastard son of Johnny Cash and Justin Sullivan raised on a diet of 80's Metal and Classical music- a bizarre sounding combination that works oh so well!

In 2001 Hauk found a kindred spirit in Nikhil Sarma, an Indian guitarist, and together they formed Mythreal, a Heavy Metal band incorporating influences from Irish/Celtic music and tribal percussion. This band went through multiple line up changes, mostly due to guitarists and drummers falling in love over the internet and moving to Europe. After several years of this and dabbling in other bands, Hauk decided he needed a break and went into the studio to record a solo acoustic album, collecting acoustic material he had written over the years but had never been able to use in any of the bands he had played in. This ten song undertaking featured Hauk playing acoustic, electric, and classical guitar, mandolin, saxophone, percussion, and vocals, and also featured Christian "Duke" Dubeau on keyboards, Addie deHilster on Flute, and Jason Frederick on accordion. Hauk has already begun work on the follow up album, tentatively titled "Hard Lemonade," which promises to be a most righteous successor to the gripping "Love Songs, Lamentations, and Lifthrasir," and is hoping to do a Mythreal album in the next year, collecting the best songs of that era on CD.
