With deep rotten roots, spoiled never seeing the light of day
Angle releases his second full length entitled "Let's Make UH Deal".
Filled with all the discontent and apathy you would expect from an
honest Iowa rapper, Angle shares his perception with colorful metaphors
and solid stories woven into the perfectly fitting organic soundscapes.
From a list of some of some of Iowa's finest beat-smith's including,
Aeon Grey and Coolzey, Angle himself makes his debut being credited with
co-production on a few tracks. An album of anthems for Iowa's mass of
unappreciated artists and a "shut-the-fuck-up" to those who have no
place further poisoning the art form and sterilizing the growth of
Iowa's identity.
"Let's Make UH Deal" is not just rocks from the catapult
however, underlying the layers of discontent sits a sense of pride,
pronounced honestly on the descriptive song "Dez Moynez". A list of
common sights that reside in Des Moines and it's residents, it could
very well be the most honest song recorded about the metro area.
"Let's Make UH Deal" is part comedy, part tragedy, and part spit
in your face east-sider. Angle doesn't pull any punches delivering what
is sure to be, another album slept on locally, finding it's appreciation
outside the city limits, perhaps making the artist brave to put so much
focus on his surroundings.
