Baby Ben is Crossroad Record's executive producer. He attended the Southwest School of Electronics and Austin Community College. Baby Ben has currently taken a break from college in order to dedicate his time to Crossroad Records.
As an accomplished percussionists, keyboardist and sound engineer, Baby Ben has mastered the art of creating, producing and recording music (using a wide variety of musical instruments and digital recording equipment).
Baby Ben has produced music for Grapetree Records, the number one Christian rap label in the world. The musical productions created by him are sought after by record labels, production companies, bands and individual artists.
Baby Ben was born in Killeen, TX.
"It was hard growing up being the son of a preacher because everyone expected me to be the perfect kid and I was far from it!," said Baby.
Baby recalls getting almost beat to death for using a rubber band to shoot buckshots at people during prayer time on Sundays. "I know it was wrong now, but at the time I was just a kid." Baby's parents died when he was a kid and he was forced to live on the streets. "I joined a gang because I had nowhere to go and no place to stay. My homies became my family." Baby moved to Austin in hopes of starting a new life. But the temptation of his old life began to creep up on him and he started hanging out with his old homies again. He was in and out of trouble and had hit rock bottom, when he offered up a prayer to God.
"I prayed God if you will deliver me, I promise I will try to live my life according to what's right," said Baby.
God delivered him and he has been rapping ever since. "I just want to spread the word that anyone, no matter what they have done in the past, can be forgiven and can turn their life around for the better."
