"A nimble balance between vintage soul-funk, acid-jazz, and urban electronica. It's all at once jazzy, groovy, rhythmic, and very danceable" - Hannah Smalltree, Portsmouth Herald
"A heady, danceable mix that's imaginatively composed, and well thought out, with a variety of provocative colors and texture" - Alan Chase, The Wire
Analog Method, is clearly influenced by jazz / funk greats such as Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis and John Scofield. However, the band is equally committed to bringing the current electronica craze out of the DJ booth and onto the live stage, experimenting with jungle and drum n' bass grooves, while expanding the dialogue of past jazz / funk masters. They combine these styles with a deft sense of melody, and a knack for creating catchy hooks which linger in the heads of listeners long after they lay down their dancing shoes. The result is music which can be enjoyed by an unusually diverse crowd.
Currently the band has been experiencing rapid stylistic growth. While Night Rider represents a more smooth and mellow side of the band, Analog Method now performs mostly in a trio setting with emphasis on more aggresive electronica and progressive groove styles.
