On "Alchemy", Bret Sexton introduces his formidable improvisational and compositional skills on "electric saxophone". Formerly the leader of Sanskrit, an experimental jazz/fusion outfit, Bret steps out with this debut album under his own name, playing his own works plus two songs by electric bassist Tom Sublett. Also featured is a stirring version of Jimi Hendrix's "...and the gods made love...have you ever been (to electric ladyland)?
