EMPLOYMENT
2003 Recorded third CD with a quartet-playing four originals and five standards. I played
baritone & tenor saxophone, Grant Levin on piano, Hans Halt on bass & Rufus Haereiti on
drums. November 10.

2003 Landrus Project performs at Concert Under the Stars With Craig Chaquico, Norman Brown,
Rick Braun, and Kirk Wahlum. August 23.

2003 Recorded tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone & flute for Mike Love of the Beach Boys.
July 19.

2003 Performed six concerts with Otis William's Temptations. In Reno & Tahoe

2003 Landrus Project opened for Electric Light Orchestra April 25, Reno Hilton Showroom
(performance was filmed for PBS)

2003 Released second Landrus Project CD with 19 original tracks featuring 14 musicians. The
music is based upon the blending of all music styles which has influenced me this far in my
life-jazz, soul, world, funk, hip-hop. The CD received international airplay in London,
Guam and Indonesia, and National airplay through NPR and Rafe Gomez's Groove
Boutique Broadcasting from New York. The CD is distributed through DustyGroove.com,
CDbaby.com, Amazon.com and landrusproject.com. March 2003

2002 Landrus Project played every Thursday night @ TheGarage, a club inside the Reno Hilton
for nine months. January-October

2002 Voted best musician in Reno & Tahoe by the readers of The Reno-Tahoe Gazette-Journal.

2002 Performed five concerts with Otis William's Temptations.

2002 Performed two concerts with The Four Tops on November 6th and 7th.

2002 Opened up for Michael McDonald in July with the R&B band 1272.

2002 Performed two concerts with Martha Reeves at Hot August Nights in Reno, August 14 &
15.

2002 Recorded on five different CD's. Keyser Soze, 1272, Cami Thompson, Tom Gordon and
The Reno Jazz Orchestra-Featured soloist on all recordings.

2002 Wrote thirty four original compositions and arranged them for the nine piece Landrus
Project. Then recorded over twenty for my second CD which was recorded in November.

2002 Toured Northern California and Oregon with the R&B band 1272

2002 Performed multiple gigs with the Brian Landrus Quartet at clubs in the Reno, Tahoe, San
Francisco area playing tradtional jazz.

2001 Released first self-titled CD featuring 13 original tracks and 10 musicians. The CD
received regional airplay and interviews. Featuring Larry Engstrom-trumpet, Leonard
Niedhold-trombone, David Ake-piano, Ed Corey-guitar, Kris Landrum-organ & rhodes,
Hans Halt-acoustic & electric bass, DJ Saurus-turntables, Gerry Genaurio-drums, Bob
Bacha-vibes and percussion. Released in September

2001 Performed two shows with Martha Reeves. July 12.

2001 Composed 26 songs arranged for my 10 piece band.

2001 Performed five shows with Otis William's Temptations in Reno and Tahoe.

2001 Accepted to the School for Improvisational Music in New York at The Knitting Factory. I
stayed with Frank Lowe in Manhattan and studied with Ralph Alessi, Steve Coleman, Uri
Cane, Ravi Coltrane, Peter Epstein, Scott Colley and Don Byron.

2000-2001 Landrus Project Played Every Thursday @ Hurricanes (a club in downtown Reno).
November 2000-October 2001

2000 Performed three concerts with Otis William's Temptations and The Four Tops in Tahoe.

2000 Performed six nights a week in two Vegas Style Shows-Work That Skirt & Escape with David
Hayze in the Reno Hilton Showroom. I played tenor sax, bari sax and flute. The show ran
from January-October. I was also hired to arrange three songs for the show's 11 piece
band: two saxophones, two trumpets, trombone, keys, guitar, bass, drums and two vocalists.

2000 Performed every Wednesday & Thursday late night @ The Fourth Street Jazz Club. On
Wednesdays I hired a trio to play with for traditional jazz, on Thursdays I hired a quartet to
play more experimental forms of jazz-this is where the Landrus Project was created-I
blended jazz , funk, reggae, hip-hop and soul. January-December

1999 Performed With Otis William's Temptations

1999 Performed every Wednesday night @ Zephyr (club in Reno) with a jazz quartet.
June-December

1998 Performed every Sunday night @ Blue Lamp (club in Reno) with a jazz quartet.
February-August

1997-1999 Performed and recorded with the Funk Band Ten Ton Nueman. I wrote and arranged for a
three piece horn section-Tenor, Trumpet and Trombone.

1997-1998 Performed every Sunday Night @ Duex Gros Nez (a club/restaurant in Reno) April-March

1996 Received Scholarship to attend the University of Nevada, Reno. Jazz Studies Department
