Barb has been playing guitar in bands and soloing since age 14. Aired on five radio stations, she's ranked top ten for jazz and female vocalists in the world wide competition through Broadjam over and over. She has had sell out live performances, and never leaves audiences disappointed.
This predominately bossa nova/latin flavored album was made for those who would like to relax, dance or just mellow out to warm sounds.
"There's too much stressful stuff out there" Barb says about contemporary music."I wanted to produce music people over thirty could relax to" "Beauty", was added as a new-age afterthought, and it has brought chills to listeners. "Dance with Me" is a catchy cha cha, "Dance me Higher" is her most popular award winning jazz tune, along with sultry award winning "Difficult" and the slower Jobim- like "Love Must Fly." "Dance of Light" was an experiment in African percussion and mind blowing lyrics. The album nicely wraps with "Textures of Love" which is smooth lilting, and mind melting.
