BASIC INFORMATION
To face the struggle within is the first step towards liberation...our music is difficult to understand, it is not meant for all...but it is our way of stating that an artist is a Revolutionary and that music is a weapon to attack our enemies and to defend ourselves from them...music is part of the artist's arsenal in the battle for truth...our wish is that mankind can become enlightened and better capable to live in peace...We were soldiers...we were danseurs...We are poets...We are fathers of beautiful children....We are warriors...We live close to the Atlantic Ocean...AJA's music arises from within...
AJA is our debut album...it came about through inspiration, spontaneity, improvisation and desire to create powerful music...all songs are arranged for piano and electric bass...we play ballads, abstract bebop, at times moody, but in the end, always cheerful...most find it extremely relaxing...listening to AJA is a pleasurable experience...
Stuart Schultz, (Stoo), is a magnificent and gifted pianist that has created tremendous melodies...BODO, is a talented bassist with a flair for the abstract, and a fascination with the mysterious, his bass sounds deep and otherworldly...
