FARHAD ZAMANI:
Was born in a musical family in Tehran/Iran. He was taught the guitar by his elder brother KAMBIZ who is still one of the most prominent guitarist. Farhad who has been playing since childhood, later discovered styles derived from Iranian pop music. That encoureged him to travel outside his home country to further experiment with what he had tried in IRAN. He arrived in ENGLAND in 1989 and has since been playing alongside renowned Iranian musicians and singers. His main ambition has been studying styles such as FLAMENCO and following the styles of such geniuses such as PACO DE LUCIA & STRUNZ AND FARAH. These were the greatest influences on Farhad, in continuous search for his own original style which has made him so popular today. Now more then ever by popular demand, other musicians to date have encourage him to record his first album, sentimentally called BELOVED BROTHER, named after death of his older brother FARZAD. His current project is an extensive research and self expansion on FLAMENCO & Gypsy styles. Which will soon result in release of a new album. Farhad, is an artist that surpasses the obvious through his unique and visionary musical style. A clever and sophisticated transition between Iranian and Gypsy's some touch of flamenco high-tech modern sound, Farhad's music is truly universal.
